OMG!! The Bible bee was epically amazing!!! There's sooooooo much too tell -- too much to put in just one post -- so, I'm splitting it up into one post per day. Hopefully that won't be so overwhelming.
Still, quick summary -- I did not advance to semi-finals. I realized that there's a lot more that I could've done - -reading different versions, looking at the context of the memory passages, etc. It's really rekindled my competitive spirit.....unfortunately, probably a bit too late. However, it has made me question my decision to not compete next year, especially with the new program. Now, they have a total of 25 cards over the summer, and a sword study of one book of the bible.
However, I'm scared that the book will be something like Genesis, with 50 chapters, since they're really making the oral portion easier. I'm hoping more information will follow.
