ERROR: OVERLOAD

Have you ever felt as though you'd bitten off more than you could chew?  I've been feeling that way a lot recently.  It feels as though there's sooooo much to do, and I'm barely managing to keep up.  I feel overwhelmed even when I think about my class schedule.  Here's my B Day schedule:

2B: Science Fair.

As if this wasn't a hard enough class with an easy project, it's sooo much harder with a more complicated project.  I'm trying to do a project working with fruit flies (Drosophila Melanogaster), and a gene called htl.  The AMES science fair is like the second week in february.  I should've started researching at least a couple weeks ago.  Have I?  No.  No, actually, I'm still waiting to hear back from a contact I have in a lab at the U of U.  So, my project is virtually at a complete standstill until I hear back from her about whether or not I can use her lab.  So needless to say, I'm frustrated.  Anthea, if you're reading this, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE e-mail or call me!  I need to have all this figured out by the end of the week!!!!!

3B:  Physics

While it's gotten easier than at the begining of the year, I still strongly dislike physics.  It's hard, and my teacher doesn't do a good job of explaining things.  To make matters worse, because of the Bible Bee, I'll be missing a test next Friday.  Yay!  *castically.  *sigh*.  So, I have to find sometime to take the test.  Unfortunately, it'll probably have to be during my chemistry study period, which I kinda can't afford to miss b/c there's soo much homework in that class.

4B: U of U Chemistry/Chem Study

Well, normally the study period isn't so bad.  Unless, of course, you're dealing with a massive stomach ache that makes it impossible to concentrate, and the ibuprofen you had isn't helping in the slightest.  Yeah....today was not a good day.  Plus, everyone was sooo loud, and that didn't make anything better either.  I ended up walking out of the class room and lying on the floor in skunk works in an attempt to get some peace and quiet.  Unfortunately, I could still hear the people in the chem room.  Seriously people?  Did you really have to be that loud?  Now I understand why Martinez is always telling us to be quiet!

In the normal class, it's not so bad -- I can lean against the wall in a comfortable position, and get away with taking very few notes in this section.  Although, it would probably be better to take a bit more notes....Hmmm.... I should probably also read the text book -- might help me get a better test score.  =P.

5B: U of U Calculus

Ugh.  I hate calculus.  No, Barton, that is not my way of saying that I love calculus.  While it's easier than physics at the current moment, I still don't like it.  It's tedious, and we're moving into a topic that I struggled with last year in AP Calculus AB -- applications of derivatives.  (ie mininums, maximums, etc.) Hopefully I'll get it this time since it's my second time, but, with Barton as a teacher, I'm not expecting much.

So, yeah.  I'm pretty sure that I have the worst possible B Day schedule.  A Days aren't soo bad.....

2A:  Seminary

Officially my favorite class, although I'm really sad that my seminary teacher is leaving.  Tomorrow's the last day I'll have with him as my teacher.  I'll end up having three seminary teachers this year: Sanders, Geilman, and whoever the new guy is.  I'm hoping he'll be pretty cool.   But, if not, oh well.  At least M is in my class.  :)

3A: Dance

Oh my gosh!!!! I love dance!!!!! My family say they can't really see me as a dancer, and I can understand why.  I'm much more of a scholastic person than a pirouetting leaping person.  But, I still love it.  It's a time when I can just be myself, have a ton of fun, and get PE credit.  Plus, my best friend is in that class.  Yay!  Yeah....I'd say dance is pretty awesome.

4A: U of U Chemistry/Chem Study

    See above.

5A: AP Psychology

Well, considering that this is the class that I fell asleep in a couple days ago, I'd say it's not the most entertaining class.  For those who consider me to be a goody good, yes, I actually fell asleep for part of a class period.  I guess all the stress caught up with me.  Fortunately, I don't think I missed much.  Although it's an AP class, it's not that hard.  None of the AP classes at AMES (except calculus) really are.  They feel like a normal class.

So, yeah -- school's difficult.  Add to that the fact that I'm studying for the Bible Bee, which is in less than a week, and you officially have an overload.  I have 1100 verses to memorize, plus the books of 1 and 2 Peter, plus all the important greek words and cross references for said books.  I'm surprised my brain hasn't exploded yet.  I'm kinda mad that the bible bee was scheduled when it was: I'm missing a physics test, a chemistry lab, 2 days of physics and chemistry and calculus, a psychology test, and probably the showing of our "energy" choreography in dance.  WHY????????????

So, yeah.  I should probably be studying.....hmm.....that's My Crazy Life!
